What Ketra does that other lighting cannot

Every Ketra source mixes color internally to produce white light from 1,400K to 10,000K, the span from candlelight to blue-sky daylight, plus a palette of 16.7 million colors for accent and entertaining scenes. Lutron’s Color Lock technology monitors each source’s output 360 times per second, so the fixtures in a room render the same white today and years from now. The platform carries more than 70 patents.

Two controls set Ketra apart in daily use. Vibrancy is a third dial beyond intensity and color temperature: it adjusts the recipe of white light to change how finishes, art and skin tones render without changing the color of the light itself. And dimming goes down to 0.1 percent, warming toward amber on the way, the way a filament lamp used to. Our Ketra guide covers the case for tunable light in more depth.

The Ketra fixtures we install

Downlights come in two-inch and three-inch apertures, the D2 and D3 families, in fixed, adjustable and wall-wash versions for new construction, with remodeler housings that install into finished ceilings. The four-inch D4R remodeler carries an S30 lamp. Lamps cover the A20, S30 and S38 forms in E26 and GU24 bases, so decorative fixtures and track heads join the same system, and the G2 linear and LS0 Lightbar Slim handle coves and under-cabinet runs.

Every Ketra source is individually addressable over Lutron’s Clear Connect wireless protocol, which removes the control wire from the drawings and lets a finished home adopt Ketra room by room. We specify it for interiors: Lutron does not rate Ketra for outdoor use, so landscape and façade lighting run on the same control system through other fixtures. Lutron backs Ketra with a five-year warranty from shipment.

Two showrooms, both live

Our Design District showroom is dedicated to lighting and shading, and Ketra is the centerpiece: stand in one room while it moves from midday to evening, then raise Vibrancy on a wall of art and watch the pigments change character. In Doral, Ketra runs alongside every other capability we install, so you can see how tunable light behaves with shades, audio and the rest of the house.

Bring the reflected ceiling plan if you have one. Ketra decisions are easiest at the drawing stage, when aperture sizes, cove details and fixture counts are still open, and they remain workable in a finished home through remodeler downlights and lamps. Our Lutron dealer page covers the HomeWorks and shading systems Ketra joins.

Questions, answered plainly

Is ioty a Ketra dealer in Miami?

Yes. ioty, a home technology integrator based in Doral, Miami, is a Lutron Sapphire dealer for the 2026 program year, and Lutron sells Ketra for residential projects through its qualified dealers. We design, install and program Ketra for luxury homes across Miami-Dade and South Florida, with working displays in our Doral and Design District showrooms.

What color temperature range does Ketra produce?

White light from 1,400K to 10,000K, the span from candlelight to blue-sky daylight, plus a palette of 16.7 million colors for accent and entertaining scenes. Color Lock monitors each source 360 times per second so the fixtures in a room stay matched for the life of the system.

Can Ketra be added to an existing home?

Yes. Remodeler downlights install into finished ceilings, the A20, S30 and S38 lamps fit standard sockets in existing fixtures, and every source is controlled wirelessly, so no control wire has to be pulled. Many of our South Florida clients adopt Ketra during a renovation or one room at a time.

Does Ketra work outdoors?

No. Lutron does not rate Ketra for outdoor use, so we design landscape, façade and pool lighting with other fixtures on the same control system and the same schedules, and reserve Ketra for the interior rooms that open onto them.

Which control system runs Ketra?

Lutron HomeWorks, the wired whole-home platform we design from the drawings, with each Ketra source talking to the system over Lutron’s Clear Connect wireless protocol. HomeWorks integrates with Savant, so Ketra scenes sit in the same app as shades, music and climate.

Where can I see Ketra in Miami?

In our Miami Design District showroom, which is dedicated to lighting and shading demonstrations, and in our Doral showroom, where Ketra runs alongside every other system we install. Both are by appointment and a visit takes about 45 minutes.
