Start with the room

A simulator is only as good as the room around it. Before anything is ordered, we check the space against the simulator maker's published requirements: ceiling height for a full swing, depth from the hitting area to the screen, width for left- and right-handed players, and where the projector and sensors can mount. A wall that suits a television may not suit a full swing facing it, so we settle the layout first.

In new construction we put the conduit, power, network and mounting points on the drawings, working with your architect and builder. In an existing home we plan the room around what is already there. Covered terraces and open lanais add sun and weather to the plan, and we account for both.

One system with the rest of the house

We supply the simulator, or plan around one you already own, and connect it to the house. The simulator computer joins the home's video system, so the same projector and screen also show cable, streaming and films. One scene sets the room for play: light off the screen, the hitting area lit, shades closed on nearby glass, game audio through the room speakers and the temperature held where you like it.

Everything runs from the same remote and app as the rest of the home. After handover, our Client Care service plans cover the golf room like any other room in the house, and Silver and Gold plans add remote monitoring from our headquarters in Doral.

Questions, answered plainly

How much room does a golf simulator need?

It depends on the simulator, the height and swing of the players, and where the screen goes. ioty, a home technology integrator based in Doral, Miami, checks ceiling height, the depth from the hitting area to the screen, and the width for left- and right-handed players against the simulator maker's published requirements before anything is ordered. A wall that works for a television may not work for a full swing facing it.

Can the simulator screen also show TV and movies?

Yes, when the room is planned for it. We connect the simulator computer, cable and streaming sources to the home's video system, so the same projector and screen switch from a round of golf to a game or a film from one remote or app.

When should a golf simulator room be planned in a new build?

During design, before drywall. Ceiling height, conduit, power, network and the mounting points for the projector and sensors are easy to place on drawings and hard to add after finishes. We work with your architect and builder so the room is ready when the simulator arrives.
